It’s almost impossible to go without eating pizza these days, right? But what to do if we are on a diet? We know we have to cut carbs from our diet, so we’ve selected 5 low carb pizzas!
1. Low Carb Pizza with Chicken Crust
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs;
- 1/2 cup (tea) of shredded chicken;
- 50g of grated parmesan;
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil;
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder;
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Filling:
- 2 cups of arugula leaves;
- 2 cups of grated mozzarella;
- 1 cup of homemade tomato sauce;
- Oregano and pepper to taste.
Preparation method:
- Place all the dough ingredients in a processor until you get a homogeneous dough;
- Grease a pizza pan and spread the dough;
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 10 min;
- Turn the dough over and bake for another 10 minutes;
- Remove from the oven, spread the tomato sauce and mozzarella;
- Return to the oven and bake until the mozzarella begins to melt;
- Remove from the oven, add the arugula, sprinkle with oregano and pepper;
- Return to the oven until the mozzarella is completely melted and golden.
2. Low Carb Pizza with Almond Flour
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (tea) of mozzarella;
- 1/2 cup of almond flour;
- 1/4 cup macadamia flour;
- 2 tablespoons of cream cheese;
- 1 egg.
Filling:
- 1 onion, sliced;
- 1 calabresa sausage cut into slices;
- 2 cups of grated mozzarella;
- 1 cup of homemade tomato sauce;
- Pepper and oregano to taste;
- Sliced olives for garnish.
Preparation method:
- Microwave the mozzarella until it softens;
- Remove and mix the flours, egg and cream cheese;
- Mix well;
- Open the dough and place it in a pizza pan;
- Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes;
- Remove, spread the tomato sauce, mozzarella, sausage, onion rings, olives, sprinkle the pepper and oregano;
- Return to the oven until the cheese has melted and the sausage is toasted.
3. Low Carb Pizza with Zucchini Crust
Ingredients:
- 2 Italian zucchini;
- 1 egg;
- 1 cup of grated mozzarella;
- Salt to taste;
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder;
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper;
- 3 tablespoons of homemade tomato sauce;
- Basil for decoration.
Preparation method:
- Grate the zucchini, place in a sieve and wait 10 minutes;
- Preheat the oven to 200°C;
- Line a pizza pan with parchment paper;
- Mix the grated zucchini with the egg, half of the mozzarella and season with salt, garlic and pepper;
- Bake for 20 min;
- Remove, spread the tomato sauce and add the other half of the mozzarella;
- Return to the oven until the cheese melts. Remove and add the basil.
4. Low Carb Pizza with Cauliflower Crust
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of grated cauliflower;
- 1 crushed garlic clove;
- Salt and pepper to taste;
- 1/2 cup of grated mozzarella;
- 1 egg.
Filling:
- 1 cup of grated mozzarella;
- 1/2 cup parmesan;
- 1 tomato, sliced;
- Oregano;
- 1 cup homemade tomato sauce;
- 1 cup of sliced leeks.
Preparation method:
- Cook the cauliflower until soft;
- Mix the rest and stir very well;
- Place on a pizza pan and bake until the edges begin to brown;
- Remove, spread the tomato sauce and the other ingredients, sprinkling, lastly, the parmesan and oregano;
- Return to the oven until melted.
5. Low Carb Pizza with Broccoli Crust
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of chopped broccoli;
- 2 eggs;
- 1/2 cup of mozzarella;
- 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese;
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Filling:
- 1 cup of tuna;
- Onion rings;
- Salt, oregano and pepper to taste;
- 2 cups of grated mozzarella;
- 1 boiled egg, sliced;
- 1 cup of homemade tomato sauce.
Directions:
- Cook the broccoli until tender;
- Mix the remaining ingredients and stir until the dough is smooth;
- Place on a pizza pan and bake for 10 minutes;
- Remove, add the filling and return to the oven until the cheese melts and the dough is crispy.
